The library held an open user engagement forum for students with disabilities on 17th April 2025 in the board room. This is a forum where the library staff meets with various groups of users to discuss how best they can deliver services to them. This was the second forum for students with disabilities; the first one was held in June last year.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret Jesang Hutchinson, visited Kisumu Campus on Thursday, March 27, 2025, accompanied by senior members of the University management, including the Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Brian Ouma.

During her visit, she toured the library, where she was received by the Librarian in charge, Madam Jane Opiyo. She assessed the library’s readiness ahead of the arrival of first-year Module One students expected in the coming intake.

A group of Law students from North Western University, USA, visited the UoN Law library. The team was accompanied by one of our fourth-year law students and had a guided library tour conducted by the Law library staff. The students are in Kenya, conducting legal research on the use of social media by law students. They were very excited by the fact that they could locate some of the print resources in the Faculty of Law library that they use back at their university, a confirmation that the UoN library is an excellent world-class information center.
