The “Big Four Agenda", is a brainchild of the former national government under the leadership of his Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta. As announced by President Uhuru in December 2017, it prioritizes four main areas: (1) Investments in Universal Health Coverage (UHC) to ensure access to quality and affordable healthcare for all Kenyans; (2) Quality and affordable housing; (3) Food security to ensure all Kenyans are well fed, and; (4) Industrialization to promote value addition to products, whilst creating employment opportunities for the country’s working-age population, by 2022.
In light of this, the University of Nairobi, through the Library department has taken the opportunity to identify and list a collection of specific texts that are relevant to the realization of the Big 4 as follows:
