Library Cultural Day, 2025

May 21, 2025, is World Cultural Day, a globally recognized event celebrating cultural diversity and inclusivity.

After the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity in 2001, the United Nations established the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development in 2002, set for May 21 every year.

In step with the global recognition of this event, the University of Nairobi Library plans to hold the Library Cultural Day in early April 2025.

Library Open & Academic Integrity Week, 2025

The Jomo Kenyatta Memorial Library (JKML) will hold a 4-day Open & Academic Integrity Week in April 2025. Similar events will be held at the Faculty of Arts & Social Science, Faculty of Agriculture & Veterinary Medicine, and Faculty of Health Science.

Library Open & Academic Integrity Week is an annual event that offers the University of Nairobi community the opportunity to learn about available library services and facilities.

This year's theme is ’’The Future of Knowledge and Open Access: Balancing Technology and Academic Ethics.
