CBPS Library bids farewell to one of their long serving member of staff

It was pomp and color as the Chiromo Library family bid farewell to their colleague Mr. Daniel Mutuku who is to retire from the University at the end of March 2019. The event took place on Friday February 15, 2019 at Chiromo Library. All the staff including other staffs from other units in the college praised Mr. Mutuku as being a father figure, an inspiration and a role model to younger employees.

As symbolic, Mutuku was requested to serve and share a special lunch with colleagues that were prepared in his honor.

International Day of Women & Girls in Science (11th February, 2019)

Science (from the Latin word scientia, meaning "knowledge") is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. It is believed that science first begun in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia in around 3500 to 3000 BCE.

World Cancer Day (4th February, 2019)

A term cancer refers to a disease in which abnormal cells divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. Cancer cells can also spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. There are several types of cancer. Nearly all parts of the human body, from the blood, brain, eyes, lungs, skin until the bone can be affected by cancer however; hair and nails can’t be affected by cancer.
