Library and ICT staff trained on InCites

On 28th November 2016, twelve University of Nairobi Librarians from various units and campuses were trained as trainers of the InCites system. InCites is an online platform  powered by Thomson Reuters and has the capability of giving elaborate visual graphics of the University’s research output, research usage and collaborations.  It is a tool that will help the University to track its researchers’ citations.

Enhanced internet connectivity at CAVS Library

College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences Library users can now use internet wireless services (wifi). The service has been made available through the support of the College Principal and ICTC.

The wifi services will facilitate the following;

  • Access to internet and electronic resources using laptops, Ipads and smart phones
  • Increased usage of subscribed electronic resources.

Users can seek assistance from Library or ICT staff in order to have their devices connected.

Library Staff attends Electronic Information for Libraries (EIFL) Annual General Meeting at Chisinau, Moldova, 18th – 23rd November 2016

Electronic Information for Libraries (Eifl), conducted an Annual General Meeting at Chisinau, Moldova to discuss emerging technology in Libraries. Eifl is a non-governmental Organization that works with libraries to enable access to knowledge for education, learning and research for sustainable community development. Kenya Libraries and Information Services Consortium (KLISC) is a member of Eifl.
