LIBRARY DISABILITY MAINSTREAMING COMMITTEE PAYS A BENCHMARKING VISIT TO USIU-AFRICA LIBRARY

The library disability mainstreaming committee (DMC) visited the United States International University (USIU) library with an aim of benchmarking on facilities and services to Persons with disabilities. The team was eager to learn more on the subject and pick on new technologies for PWDs that can be implemented at our  library.USIU is a private University with students from all over the world.

Previously the DMC has benchmarked with public institutions such as Kenyatta University library and Maktaba Kuu at the Kenya National Library services. Members saw it prudent to also see how private institutions have put to practice services and facilities for Persons with disabilities. The team was led by the Deputy Director Administration and human resource Mr. Harun Mugo. Mr Mugo is also the committee’s patron. The visit took place on 23/03/2023.
