The Kenya Science Campus library staff attended an orientation address for first-year students 2022/2023 on Thursday 23rd September 2022 at Uhuru hall.
The first years comprised of about 200 students both undertaking B.Ed science and B.Ed ICT
All KSC library staff addressed the 1st years on various areas i.e.
- Welcoming remarks from the DLIS and librarian
- Overview of library systems, services and facilities
- Circulation Services
- Africana/Reserve collection ,Archives
- Bindery
- Rules and Regulations
- Electronic resources OPAC and repository
The orientation ended with a word of prayer and later physical tour of KSC library.
The students were dived into groups and taken through various sections in the library i.e.
- Open shelves
- Reserve section
- Computer lab
- Customer service desk
- OPAC area
