Library Orientation & Knowledge Ambassadors Initiative at the School of Business Library

SOB Orientation, 2021

The school of business library held orientation for first year students in the bachelor of Commerce degree program on the 5th February 2021.A total of 281 students turned up.The program ran from 9am to 1pm.The students were divided into three groups.each comprising 100 students.

The Library took the students over how to access the e-books and e-journals, how to access these resources remotely and how to seek help from the Librarians while away from the Library.

The occasion was graced by the School's student leader Byron Nyakoi who also gave his maiden speech.

The students were also introduced to the knowledge ambassadors ( K.A.) concept and quite a number of them joined the club.K.A is made up of  staff, students and faculty. The  objective is to have a forum for the friends of the Library (knowledge ambassadors). The purpose of the club is to have a team that is enthusiastic and positive about the Library, ready to access,share, and market the resources.

The students were also informed that the physical Library is open on weekdays 8-8pm Monday to Friday, with extended weekend from Saturday 8-5pm.and Sundays 12-6pm.
