On 5th October 2021, the Department of Library and Information Services received a delivery of books from Educate Yourself Limited. The books were part of the Chancellor’s book donation through Rattansi Education Trust.
The total book donation is supposed to cost Ksh. 10 million. The first consignment comprises 175 titles with 385 volumes valued at Ksh. 6,731,663 (Six million, seven hundred and thirty-one thousand, and six hundred& sixty-three only). The supplier promised to deliver the final batch in the next two weeks.
The Director Library & Information Services Department is indeed grateful for this generous gesture from our Chancellor Dr. Vijoo Rattansi. This will enormously add to our existing book collection in our entire University of Nairobi Library System.
