The University Library has acquired an additional collection of 931 titles of e-Books from Taylor & Francis. The titles are relevant to students, faculty members and researchers alike. They cut across various disciplines Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Medical and Science & Technology.

President William Ruto on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 launched a tree restoration program at Ngong Hills Forest to kick start his plan of planting 15 billion trees by 2032. The President also planted 56 trees to mark his 56th birthday, as other counties held similar functions that saw a total of 560,000 trees planted.
The Library Disability Mainstreaming Committee joined the rest of the world in celebrating the International Day for Persons Living with Disabilities (PWD) on Friday, 2nd December 2022. At University of Nairobi, the commemoration was marked with Inter-university adaptive sports as such wheel chair basketball which took place at the Hyslop Parking lot. Other sports included para chess and darts. Of importance was conducting registrations of PWDs by the National Council of Persons with Disability (NCPWD).
On December 1st, 2022 the Kisumu County Deputy Governor Dr. Mathews Ochieng Owili and his team visited Kisumu Campus Library and was impressed at the enormous resources and modern infrastructure put in place by the University.
His visit came at the invitation of the Associate Dean Prof. Charles Rambo and was led on a tour of the library by member of staff Mr. Solomon Matanda
Professor Sari Anne Lindblom (Rector) Professor Hanna Kylikki Sneillman (Vice Rector) and Dr. Anna-Maria Kristina Salmi (Head of Development, International Affairs) University of Helsinki Visited Mahatma Gandhi Graduate library on 29th November 2022.
On the 18th of November 2022, a team from the library, led by the Director, LIS was hosted at Koitaleel Samoei University College at a training event tailored to transfer knowledge.
Jomo Kenyatta Memorial Library was privileged on 17th November 2022 to be visited by one of the schools from Nairobi county namely Nairobi Milimani Secondary School.
Members of staff on hand engaged them by taking them through our services as well as our vast collection of information resources.
JOVE Product Specialist Keyu Sumaria paid a courtesy call to the Director Library & Information Services on 11th November 2022. The courtesy call marked the end of Keyu’s trip to Kenya where he visited various academic institutions.
The Library has organized its 9th Open Access & Academic Integrity week. This gives the Library an opportunity to interact with stakeholders for service feedback and to market its services. This is a university-wide occasion that aims to increase awareness on digital library and the importance of academic integrity to students, staff and other stakeholders.
