Resource Description and Access (RDA), Cataloguing & Classification training for Library staff
On Wednesday 31st May 2017, library staff mainly from cataloguing sections from various branch libraries were trained on Resource Description and Access (RDA), Cataloguing & Classification. The training took place at Jomo Kenyatta Library Computer Lab.
The main aim of the training was to enhance Cataloguing and Classification skills of the staff and ensure that the recommended standards are adhered to for uniformity.
Twenty five (25) Library staff were in attendance
Some of the topics covered included;
- V-Smart Cataloguing module
- Online Cataloguing sites
- Subject Cataloguing
- Resource Description and Access (RDA)
