CLASSIFCATION WEB WORKSHOP

The Cataloguing Section conducted a one day workshop on the use of Classification Web, on 17th September 2013.  The Classificcation Web is an integrated cataloging tool that assists with the assignment of Library of Congress classification (LC) numbers for bibliographic content. The Web is accessed over the Internet and is kept up-to-date with the latest LC classification and authority data.  The use of the Web will enhance the level of cataloguing standards.  Thirteen (13) participants participated in the workshop.  Arrangements are being made to train more staff on the Classification Web during the 2013-14 period.
