The Acting Deputy Director in charge of planning in library and information services, Mr. George Nyalwal, attended the 3rd African Regional Conference on Knowledge Management 22-24 November 2017. The conference was held at the Reef Hotel in Mombasa, Kenya. There were six papers that were presented in the conference. The Acting Deputy Director planning was called upon to chair some of the sessions where the following papers were presented: The role of Indigenous knowledge systems in enhancing Agricultural productivity in Kenya by Gourdian Gwatemba, PhD student at Kenyatta University,  Knowledge Management Systems Adoption and Use: A Case Study of National Forest Products Programme – Kenya Forestry Research Institute by Victor Kamau and Esther Manyeki, KEFRI, Kenya and Claiming a place in the sun: The Knowledge Manager and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by Dr. Peterson Dewah lecturer at Honorary Lecturer - University of KwaZulu-Natal Lecturer - National University of Science and Technology Department of Records and Archives Management , Zimbabwe .
