KLISC / EIFL Workshop on Open Access Publishing (4/10/2017)

Kenya Library and Information Services Consortium (KLISC) in collaboration with Electronic Information for Libraries (EIFL) organized a one day workshop for publishers, librarians and researchers on Open access publishing.

The workshop was held on 4th October 2017 at Nairobi Safari Club. It was officially opened by Prof. Joseph Kavulya who is the University Librarian at Catholic University and the Chair of KLISC. In his remarks, the KLISC chair thanked EIFL for the continued support. He pointed out that KLISC will continue to deepen the partnership for the good of the citizens. The consortium advocates knowledge for all in the country and focuses on facilitating access to quality information.

Prof. Kavulya in his closing remarks asked the participants to be ambassadors of open access. The University of Nairobi library was represented by two members of staff.
